My focus as a manuscript coach is to support and help you engage your creativity within the writing process. While I’m open to working with all writers at any stage of manuscript development, I’m particularly interested in working with writers in the following areas:

 

• new and emerging writers interested in starting a full-length project who are unsure where to begin

• writers working on a project who are struggling to find its “through-line”

• poets interested in writing a poetry chapbook or full-length poetry manuscript (80 pages maximum)

 

What manuscript coaching is:

 

• working one-on-one to devise strategies that help you achieve your writing goals

• using the Creative Problem Solving process to help you uncover and untangle the hidden potential in your manuscript

• regular check-ins and accountability on writing progress

• written feedback on passages or sections of the manuscript (negotiated on an individual basis with you)

• light substantive editing
